I know we talked about visiting a grocery store or restaurant, but here is what that looks like in action! We have a local Chinese buffet that prides themselves on fresh ingredients and even sushi and sashimi! It's a great place to try new to you foods!

It's a safe place where food is prepared corrrectly and gives an authentic flavor. We were able to sample different sushi as well as sautéed squid, seaweed salad, sautéed bok choi, and more!

Maybe you don't have a great Chinese buffet near you, or maybe you just are afraid to try too many new things, that's ok too! Start out small! There are many families who have never tried fresh cut honeydew, cantaloupe, or pineapple. This day we got to sample papaya and lychee berries as well! We also had a sample of green and pink olives and some freshly boiled edamame. What an experience!

Then talk. What areas of the world did this come from? What foods do we like and why? Do you like the texture, taste, color, smell, etc. why or why not?

On my plate was kimchi which has a rich and significant cultural history in Korea as well as an important health history for us now! Here is an article to learn more!
